چکیده

ABSTRACT We present a rapid timing analysis of optical (HiPERCAM and ULTRACAM) X-ray (NICER) observations the transient Swift J1858.6−0814 during 2018 2019. The light curves show relatively slow, large amplitude (∼1 mag in gs) ‘blue’ flares (i.e. stronger at shorter wavelengths) on time-scales ∼minutes as well fast, small (∼0.1 ‘red’ longer ∼seconds. are consistent with reprocessing optically thin synchrotron emission, respectively, similar to what is observed other binaries. simultaneous versus soft- hard-band time- energy-dependent correlations. 2019 March 4 parts June data nearly symmetric positive cross-correlations (CCFs) lags simple disc reprocessing. CCFs can be reproduced if dominates one component (disc or Comptonization) both soft hard X-rays. A part shows very different CCFs. correlation negative lag band emission correlated hot flow emission. properties qualitative agreement hybrid inner accretion model, where relative role components that vary course outburst, time-scales, govern shape optical/X-ray

The X-ray Quiescence of Swift J195509.6+261406 (grb 070610): an Optical Bursting X-ray Binary?

We report on an ∼63 ks Chandra observation of the X-ray transient Swift J195509.6+261406 discovered as the afterglow of what was first believed to be a long-duration gamma-ray burst (GRB 070610). The outburst of this source was characterized by unique optical flares on timescales of second or less, morphologically similar to the short X-ray bursts usually observed from magnetars. Our Chandra ob...

X-ray neutron star magnetic field and magnetosphere evolution in low mass X-ray binary

The accretion induced neutron star magnetic field evolution is studied through considering the accretion flow to drag the field lines aside and dilute the polar field strength, and as a result the equatorial field strength increases and is buried inside the crust. The main conclusions of model are as follows: (i) the polar field decays with increasing the accreted mass; (ii) The bottom magnetic...

GRB060602B = Swift J1749.4-2807: an unusual transiently accreting neutron-star X-ray binary

We present an analysis of the Swift Burst Alert Telescope (BAT) and X-ray telescope (XRT) data of GRB060602B, which is most likely an accreting neutron star in a binary system and not a gamma-ray burst. Our analysis shows that the BAT burst spectrum is consistent with a thermonuclear flash (type I X-ray burst) from the surface of an accreting neutron star in a binary system. The X-ray binary na...
